Nice Fire Posted: 11/5/2007, 8:41 am
Here's an interesting shot of the fire in the pit out back of the shop Thomas took this past week...

I had to extract the frames from a single contact sheet and animate them. Turned out pretty cool, I think. Wink

One more thing about registering on the site Posted: 10/22/2007, 3:02 pm
Just a note to let a few of you know...

Several of you didn't register on the site, but registered in the Photo Gallery instead. It doesn't give you membership to the site when registering in the Gallery, but it will add you to the Gallery when registering with the site.

The "JOIN" button above and in the menu to the left will register you with the site.

I've since removed the "REGISTER" link from the Gallery and had to delete the members that tried registering there. You will have to register with the site to join Chromatomic.

Sorry for the confusion. Wink

Keeping it updated ;) Posted: 10/20/2007, 9:23 am
Well, since I was tired of looking at that pre-Thunder Beach notice about Thomas' bike and Thomas doesn't seem to have figured out how to post anything yet (hehehe) Wink , I guess I'll bump that article down and stick in a new one.

I know there was some problems with registering here on the site and everything should be working fine now. First, it was links to the register page that were missing, then after I fixed that, it was a code problem with validating email addresses. Both issues are resolved. You may register at will. Very Happy

Thomas' bike was completed about 7pm on the Friday of Thunder Beach and he clear coated it between 10pm Fri and 6am Sat. We'll organize the pictures we have into a step-by-step photo album in the Gallery soon.

In other news, we should have another bike project underway within the next week, stay tuned. Wink

Guess that's about it for now, I was just tired of seeing that same old post on the front page.

Enjoy, ride safe and come back for more!

Site Update! Posted: 9/14/2007, 1:08 am
Well, Thomas' bike is off to a fair start. Less than two weeks 'til Thunder Beach. All drawn out, tank's about half way done. Now that I've found out that TB is a week farther away, I'm relaxed a bit more. Wink

ANYway, on to site news:

New picture gallery is installed and integrated with the site. We should have some picture content filling it up soon. (I.E., we'll try to get some uploaded while we're running the Thunder Beach Airbrush/Chrome Gauntlet this week).

Forum areas have been added and are just awaiting some chatter.

New theme is plugged in and running (doncha just love diamond plate?)

I guess that's all for now. Tired of painting and inhaling paint fumes.

L8r!

Welcome! Posted: 8/20/2007, 7:28 am
Hi!

I'm Darrell and I'd like to welcome you to Chromatomic!

Please bear with us as we whip this site into shape throughout the near future, we're not at all sure which direction all this will take us.

For those of you that don't know us, we're stepping into the world of metal plating & buffing, adding to an ever-growing list of customizing services such as screenprinting, vinyl graphics & signs, vehicle painting, custom airbrush art and more.

Chromatomic is owned and operated by one of my best bros, Thomas, who should be joining us here shortly (after I finish up a few things and show him how to use the site's features). Wink Once we get him going, there's not much gonna slow him down, so be prepared. Cool

Over time, this site will be closely associated with my site (which I seriously need to add some content there also) for my business called The Shoppe. When all is ready there, we'll have plenty of notices here also. While this site will contain a good bit of vehicle airbrush pics from the projects we do here, The Shoppe's site will carry the bulk of my pre-Chromatomic portfolio, mostly T-shirt portrait work.

We still haven't figured out what's going to go where for everything, but at least we've got something started! Wink

Like I've always said, "Do SOMEthing, even if it's wrong!" Rolling Eyes

Thanks for reading and I hope you come back and watch us grow!
